In the last 24 hours nearly 8 inches of fluffy white stuff has fallen at my house south of St Louis. We’re supposed to get a couple more overnight too.
I had to run a quick supply run to a grocery store about a mile from the house for dinner. It ended up being closed but the wife’s RAV4 Hybrid did awesome on the roads that were way overdue for a plow and treat with thoroughly meh tires on it. That smart AWD with the electric motors at the rear and the regen braking at all four wheels when the gas is let off made this thing far better in the snow than anything else I’ve owned.
Today is the first day of my end of year vacation (don’t go back to work until the 31st) and I hoped to get a lot done on my fleet but the weather doesn’t agree with my plans...

Probably around 5” at our house. I was supposed to work in Rolla this week. I left 10AM yesterday and with an inch of snow I only got a few miles to work, dropped off a folder and went back home. We got out today before the stores closed, then relaxed and had a snow day. I may leave tomorrow around lunch for a day and a half work, then Louisiana, MO Thursday & Friday and into next week.

It is windy and feels quite cold today. It might be 60 degrees and sunny but man does it feel like winter out there with the wind. And most buildings dont have much if any heat so its also 60-65 indoors which is pretty cold indoor temps. I did see a 3 as the leading digit in the car for the first time this year as well in the morning. My cold tolerance no longer exists lol.

Ha! I know people who’ve left the Midwest to milder parts of the US and they all say the same thing, they can’t handle the cold and complain when it drops below 70.
I’m looking forward to a move out west to the Bay area. The very pleasant weather there will be very nice. Tomorrow's low here is 16...

Kept falling down here most of the day. Almost 9 inches right now. Supposed to keep snowing overnight to.
It’s been since I was a kid that we’ve had 2 accumulating snows before Christmas. It is strange.
